Since 1978 the PUB, located in the Wilde Lake Village Center, has been a favored watering hole for Columbians who have a zest for life. Recently, The PUB has undergone extensive remodeling under supervision of Wilde Lakes's favored craftsmen Richard Knight. The New PUB at Wilde Lake is still the friendly neighborhood bar with the finest draft ales, pub burgers and dart competitions that our regular clientele have come to appreciate. What's new is our newly constructed non-smoking dining room, our revamped kitchen and additional video consoles. Moreover, our kitchen is now under new command: Barbra, formerly of the Dodder & Poddle, has reorganized the kitchen staff and the menu much to the elation of our frequent diners
Also from the Dodder & Poddle is Jerry, our senior barmen . Jerry is also the River Hill High School Basketball Coach. At Jerry's Happy Hour can found the eclectic lot of Pub's regulars: professors, folksingers, businessmen, teachers, actors, truck drivers, carpenters, lawyers, authors, plumbers, salesmen�etc.
Ales flow. Jokes traded. Laughter heard. The barroom banter ranges from the innocuous sports and politics to the arcane matters of ethic and philosophy. The KENO machine rings as it prints chances for punters who are feeling a bit lucky. The Orioles win on the several video monitors and early diners enjoy the dinner specials in the non-smoking caf� section. Happy Hour is just that at The Pub At Wilde Lake.
Friday and Saturday nights at the Pub really rock! Entertainment includes the musical stylings of DJ Terry and Wacky Warren. Kareoke by Aburaze. Various live bands playing reggae, classic rock, modern rock, jazz or folk are also on the pubs weekly agenda.
Anyone for Cricket? The Howard County Dart League is always looking for new players of any skill level. During the dart season the Pub is pleased to host the league matches. In addition to the league games, the Pub has Luck-Of-The-Draw matches twice a week..
The Pub is also a friend of the Maryland Special Olymipics. From time to time the Pub will host events that benefit that organization.
